Pregame Notes:
- Today's game is for sole possession of second place in the Eastern Division behind Oakland County (17-11).
- Crushers won their third straight game and fifth in row at home last night 6-2 over Windy City. A win tonight or tomorrow would be the Crushers four series win in a row.
-Matt Smith gets tonight's start. He is 4-1 with a 2.42 ERA. He is tied for second in the Frontier League in wins and is seventh in ERA.
-Ryan Quigley was scheduled to start for Windy City but was a late scratch and replaced by Ricky Meinhold.
- Andrew Davis matched a Lake Erie record by going 4 for 4 last night to raise his average to .321. Davis had four hits twice in a game last year.
- Phil Rummel was the winning pitcher last night. Rummel is enjoying the friendly confines of All Pro Freight. He has allowed only one earned run in three starts at home in 18 innings of work. He is now 2-2 with a 5.65 ERA and a team high 25 strikeouts.
