With the 2-0 win on Monday night, the Crushers avoided getting swept by the East Division-leading Oakland County Cruisers. The Crushers are now three games behind the Cruisers, with the Traverse City Beach Bums sandwiched between the two ballclubs.

Starting pitcher Travis Risser earned his fourth win of the season Monday night, after starting the season 0-2. In four of his last five starts, Risser has pitched at least six innings and in those starts, has not given up more than two runs.

Shortstop Jodam Rivera (.331) and third baseman Andrew Davis (.333) lead the team in hitting with entering Monday night's game against the Cruisers. Davis ranks third in the league and Rivera ranks fifth.
